WorldWise: Spot the Flag ("the App") is an educational flag quiz game for iOS designed for children and families. Players identify country flags, learn capital cities, and explore the world through interactive quizzes.

2. Data we collect

The table below lists every category of data the App accesses.

All game data is stored using your device's local storage (UserDefaults) and is never sent to any server. You can clear all data at any time by uninstalling the App.

3. In-App Purchases

The App offers a single one-time optional In-App Purchase: "Unlock All Flags" ($1.99) which unlocks 85 premium country flags across Americas, Africa and Oceania.

• All payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store.
• We do not receive, store, or process any payment card details.
• The purchase is linked to the user's Apple ID and can be restored on any device.
• The App does not use subscriptions — this is a one-time purchase only.
• Parental note: We recommend parents manage In-App Purchase settings via Screen Time on iOS to prevent unintended purchases by children.

4. Third-party services

The App does not share your data with any third parties and contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking. The only external services the App interacts with are:

• Apple (payments): If you choose to purchase the optional flag unlock, payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details.
• Flag images: Country flag images for premium content are downloaded from a public image service and saved to your device for offline use. No personal information is shared during this process.
• Voice pronunciation: When you tap a flag to hear its country name spoken aloud, this uses your device's built-in text-to-speech feature. Nothing is sent to any external server.

5. Children's privacy (COPPA)

The App is designed for users of all ages including children under 13. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable UK/EU laws:

• The App does not collect any personal information from children.
• The App does not require registration or account creation.
• The App does not contain advertising of any kind.
• The App does not include social features or chat functionality.
• The App does not link to external websites from within gameplay.
• The App does not track location or use device identifiers.
• The optional In-App Purchase requires Apple ID authentication, which is managed by Apple and subject to parental approval via Screen Time / Family Sharing.

Parents and guardians can contact us at any time with questions or concerns about children's privacy (see Section 8 below).

6. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Because the App does not collect or transmit any personal data, most data-subject rights are satisfied by default — there is nothing held about you on any server that can be retrieved or deleted.

All data stored by the App (game progress, preferences) exists only on your device and can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the App. If you believe the App has collected personal data in error, please contact us and we will investigate promptly.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the App's functionality changes in a way that affects data handling. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Continued use of the App after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
